May / June 2005 FREE The Lord's Notes Lord Before Us Productions BI-Monthly Newsletter In Your Interest.... Summer Time of Praise In the past year we have seen several things take place in our world, with the Tsunami disaster to the Freeway shoots in California. One of our beloved Entertainers on trial for Child Molestation - to an Hispanic Mayor being elected to office in California. As the Summer rolls around, it's no telling what can and will take place; it's no secret that we live in a strange world - with devastation able to take place at anytime. It's good to know that when you are Saved and know Who you Belong too - nothing can really sway your Faith. The Summer is filled with good foods, hot days, and warm nights; but it's also a time to experience just what God has planned for your life. His plan may not be clear in the beginning, but believe me - once you get closer to him; it will all be revealed. It's true, we serve a jealous God - and he will have No Other God before Him. So if I was you, I would watch what I do and who I do it with - cause His eyes are on you... Event Reviews LA Young Adult Choir of GMWA, Throwback Concert - 4/9/05: Packed out and good to the last note - Although it started a little late - the crowd didn't care. LA Young Adults took the stage by force and render several good selections - that had the crowd on their feet. Each invited guests performed their versions of the old hits like - The Clark Sisters "You Brought The Sunday", LA Mass That's When You Blessed Me", LACC even performed their classic hit "Worship The Lord" which had the crowd rocking... After a closing number of John P. Kee's "He'll Welcome Me" by LAVA Ministries, the service was over - short, sweet, and anointed... A Song 4 U Concert, Benefiting Tsunami Relief - 5/6/05: Where do we began, this recap is going to be in the old flavor that made us so popular - We must Tell the Truth... The event started over and Hour late, and with a minimal praise dance performance that even had the dancers confused. Promoter Tionne Williams came out in a flamboyant outfit that the crowd was not ready for, but he didn't seem to mind the talking that was taking place as he stated the purpose (which was a good one) for the event - to Benefit the Tsunami victims. Well after a few meaningless opening acts - the major artists hit the stage, and thank God they didn't let the crowd down. Hezekiah Walker & Ricky Dillard were good, Karen Clark & Kim Burrell tried to take them to Church, and even Fons new song got the crowd going. LA Young Adult Choir of GMWA seem to be back-grounding for almost every artists - and despite some audio problem, they could still be heard. Dorinda Clark showed out - with the help of Miracle Mass Choir and her audio track, while Ted & Sheri seem to not want to stop singing - Tonex & his crew did there thing and left without a hitch. Backstage any and everything was happening - and the artists were so unpleased that they left Los Angeles, and spread the word to the World regarding this event... Good Idea, but it lacked structure... Knott's Berry Farm / KJLH Radio's Gospel Showcase - 5/21/05: About 20,000+ saints fount their way to Knott's this year, and KJLH didn't let them down not one moment throughout the day. At 11:55AM, the concerts started with Chris Bolton giving a crowd pleasing performance as did Jesse Campbell, Denitra Camp, and LACC. J Moss took the crowd by storm and so did LA Young Adults of GMWA, Greg Jones & Ministry, & Judith Christie-McAllister. Donald Lawrence was ok, but could have gave the crowd a little more - and Antioch B.C was good, but with audio problems; the crowd could bearly hear them... The Day belong to The Soul Seekers - who tore it up, they were followed by their wives - Mary Mary, who gave a stellar performance. Donnie McClurkin had the crowd in the palm of his hand, Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers with the Choir of Life - closed the Park down with Praise like never before... What a Day... Event Reviews - In Short... RiZen in Concert @ Testimonial Cathedral COGIC - 4/2/05: Nice crowd, a little to Dolled up for the saints, vocals were good - but the Praise was missing...
